\nConsequently as we age
\nGrasping straws page after page
\nRealising that actually
\nWe have lost the plot
\nAnd cannot see
\nOr hear or feel that animals too
\nLove each other
\nAs some of us do
\nThey are family and they need
\nLove and caring to succeed
\nKilling them is utter grief
\nCompared to the hunters
\nThere is no relief
