How many turtles get caught up
\nIn netting
\nSingle use plastic bags
\nSo many souls
\nWho swim in the ocean
\nAccept our devotion
\nThe notice of our rubbish tossed anywhere
\nSome can\u2019t be bothered
\nOut of the window
\nNobody\u2019s looking
\nOut of the car
\nTo end up trapping wild life
\nManifesting a crippling baggage from far<\/p>\n
Commercial fishing, nets pots disposed
\nOf
\nRopes chains and netting
\nSlung everywhere
\nCreating such fear for the wildness around uu
\nTrying to cope with the added despair<\/p>\n
Today is my birthday 81 years
\nOn this planetary wilderness
\nBeautifully
\nHearing explosions erosions and warring
\nImagine the wild souls they need reassuring
\nRetaliation killing and murder genocide
\nAll of these horrors we feel<\/p>\n
It\u2019s out of our hands the heartless are at it
\nInnocence wiped away the devils in charge
\nI think of the children and all the wild friends
\nOut there all suffering and today mends
\nMy thoughts to continue
\nTo fight for them genuinely
\nFoxes and badgers and beavers and Otters
\nAnd weasels and squirrels and all of the others
\nFathers and mothers and children
\nFor rotters
\nAre out hunting foxes and hares and red deers
\nRabbits all innocent all getting by
\nIn the forests, we poison with lead from our shot guns
\nWith pesticides fungicides glyphosate we
\nAll must remember we all enjoy birthdays
\nEvery soul out there <\/p>\n
