In the land of the giants
\nFor Hedgehogs you see
\nWe live in your world

In gardens, in compost heaps
\nLeaf stacks where we
\nCan perish in bonfires

\nOut on the street
\nThrough forested places
\nCars driving fast
\nPut us all through our paces<\/p>\n
We tend to operate
\nLater in the day
\nBut life is extraordinary
\nThat much we can say
\n0n woodland edges
\nConifer Forests
\nMoorlands, in gardens
\nOften we see
\nSaucers of milk
\nLeft out by you people
\nTempting us but it never should be<\/p>\n
Lactose is horrible
\nWe cannot drink it
\nYes it is tempting
\nBut sickens us so
\nWe prefer earwigs worms slugs
\nAnd beetles
\nGod given foodstuffs
\nThat help us to grow<\/p>\n
Too many people these days
\nConcrete over
\nThe lovely front gardens
\nOutside their front doors
\nThat\u2019s where they drive
\nLeave their cars
\nWhen they get home to
\nThe beautiful gardens
\nUnder the stars<\/p>\n
Which Are disappearing
\nDissuading us really
\nTo stay in the parks
\nWhere municipal spray
\nAll sorts of chemicals
\nVile and obtrusive
\nCocktails of death
\nKeeping insects at bay<\/p>\n
In the land of the giants

\nWe need human beings
