We birds can see can hear
\nCan speak
\nWe do have to be keen
\nTo recognise who feeds us
\nAnd those that are rather mean
\nWhen danger is approaching
\nWe have to communicate
\nWe use birds words
\nwe do
\nIn a world of human beings
\nNothing is more true<\/p>\n
Some feed us and we are grateful
\nThe corvids tells us, they
\nShare the souls who care about us
\nWe know every day
\nPigeons have a bad press
\nStarlings do as well
\nThose town dwellers are apparently
\nThought to come from Hell<\/p>\n
Some of us a songsters
\nSome of us we are sure
\nAll of us have our own ways
\nSeeing we adore
\nThose of you who buy us seeds
\nAnd fat balls it is true
\nWe love you we appreciate
\nAll the things you do<\/p>\n
The corvidae are noisy
\nThey fly about in packs
\nBut they are very generous
\nVery few attacks
\nOn us the tiny feathered ones
\nWe can get by too
\nLots of trees and bushes
\nAnd hedgerows where we do<\/p>\n
Live and just feel happy
\nWater we need of course
\nPonds and pools and streams and puddles
\nOfcourse they are a source
\nBut those of you
\nWho leave the water out for us
\nWe know
\nWarm water when it\u2019s very cold
\nReally helps us glow<\/p>\n
Town stars have more problems
\nAnd sea sides the sea birds
\nBut all get by now which is why
\nMost are lost for words
\nTo fly from place to place
\nAnd to catch insects in the air
\nTo roost to look in windows
