Commercial fishing
\nLacks all feeling
\nBy catch is a waste
\nThe antipathy of consumption
\nReally must be faced
\nFish caught in great masses
\nNet loads scooped at sea
\nCreatures with a neuronal system
\nKnow fear it seems to me<\/p>\n
They know joy when they see it
\nAnd of course pain as well
\nWatch them wriggle
\nWatch them squirm
\nHooks for them are HELL
\nInjuring their lips and jaws
\nAnd bodies you can say
\nDamages them and hurts them
\nIn every single way<\/p>\n
Fishes do have memories
\nOf circumstances, they
\nNetted gaffed and frozen
\nAnd gutted it\u2019s no way
\nTo treat these beautiful creatures
\nTorn out of the sea
\nPacked in ice and beaten
\nTheir feelings have to be<\/p>\n
Respected all the handling
\nOn board in the extreme
\nThe course fishermen
\nWho hooks the fish
\nAnd in a creel doth seem
\nTo not realise the agony
\nThe lack of genuine air
\nThrown back after perhaps a day
\nFish are, really aware<\/p>\n
It\u2019s frightening it\u2019s painful
\nShock elements are there
\nSee how you\u2019d feel
\nBleeding from the mouth
\nYou\u2019d be aware
\nAnd fish are very sensitive
\nMen though tragically
\nThink only of their guts
\nAnd care little actually<\/p>\n
Yes fish do have feelings
\nEmotions yes they cry
\nLooking back as they are hauled
\nUp towards the sky
\nThousands of their breathren
\nAlso being caught
\nIt creates a sadness
