The rivers of the wilderness
\nrun red with blood of those
\nwho live and die
\nthere and because
\nman’s influence
\nthere grows<\/p>\n
ranchers moved in with cattle
\ncommodities that bring
\nmoney to their coffers
\nand as such
\ntheir hearts sing<\/p>\n
people tells me cattle are needed
\nfor wild flowers
\ngrow because of cattle
\nsuch ignorance
\nthe powers<\/p>\n
when creation has created
\na balanced world but we
\nimbalance bloody everything
\nand do it constantly<\/p>\n
we kill the wolves
\nthose brave wild souls
\nwho run our gauntlets through
\nthe blood stains pasture lands
\nand river beds
\nand all of you<\/p>\n
so many bodies lying in the earth
\nentombed and gone
\nof course the moon communicates
\nwith the howling wolves
\nupon<\/p>\n
our land once rich and glowing
\nwhich is dying by the day
\nas the wolves reach up
\nto ask of him
\nwhy this has to be the way<\/p>\n
and of course there is no answer
\nfor men are so unkind
\nmankind has gone forever
\nthe hunter now is blind
\nto the catastrophic impact
\nthat his trigger happy clan
\nare creating in the wilderness
\never since it all began<\/p>\n
The rivers run red sadly
\nthe blood of those now sure
\nborn within its boundaries
\nare now convinced the gore
\nis all that they can hope for
\nfor the activists are few
\nthe indigenous are powerless
