As humans
\nwe are blessed with friends
\nwho come from other species
\nbut all of us should share
\nthis planet, we
\nmust learn to live together
\nnot some of us be victims
\nnot allowed to live
\nand to be free<\/p>\n
all creatures great and small
\ndo have a place here
\nthey were created
\nas were you and I
\nsome have vital energies
\nand some advanced technology
\nbut sadly man UNKIND
\nmight now ask why<\/p>\n
abuses in such power
\nwe think we have today
\nour money and the profit
\nwe accrue
\nanimals have marvellous
\nlives similar to our own
\nand should be left to live them
\nas we do<\/p>\n
from the great cats to the elephant
\nthe rhino and the sharks
\nthe whales just every living soul
\nmust be
\ngiven space to live their lives
\nfor within us all that marks
\na boundary that everyone
\nshould see<\/p>\n
habitat loss and over use of farming
\nlogging forests planting GMO’s
\nis causing such abuse amongst the animal
\nfraternity
\nand corporate over fishing too
\ndoes pose
\nwe have to sit back and observe
\nthe errors
\nthe terrors
\nwe inflict on Planet Earth
\nits creatures everyone of them
\nis needed
\nevery single one of them has worth
\nthe fact that we walk upright
\nand use cell phones
\ndrive our cars and speak
\nwon’t mean a thing
\nevery single animal that also walks this earth
\nimagine for a moment what they bring
\nthey have a place
\nand its not to be a victim
\nall creatures great and small
\nremember, we
\nsang this hymn in school when we were children
\nand nothing’s changed
