{"id":60809,"date":"2023-10-03T23:34:49","date_gmt":"2023-10-03T23:34:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cooksdelight.co.uk\/blog\/?p=60809"},"modified":"2023-10-03T23:48:01","modified_gmt":"2023-10-03T23:48:01","slug":"horley","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cooksdelight.co.uk\/blog\/2023\/10\/horley\/","title":{"rendered":"Horley"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A crescent Moon<br \/>\nA clearing in a tongue of land<br \/>\nWas where<br \/>\nAt the extreme North West<br \/>\nOf Oxfordshire<br \/>\non Warwickshire\u2019s<br \/>\nborder share<\/p>\n<p>On 8.27 acres<br \/>\nOf level paddock land<br \/>\nSlightly acidic based rich soil<br \/>\nOn clay I understand<br \/>\nAt the Southern edge of Horley<br \/>\nA permanent pasture green<br \/>\nWroxton Brook and Horley Brook<br \/>\nAnd Sor Brook raised the scene<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s been a wild flower meadow<br \/>\nIt\u2019s beauty then divine<br \/>\nA tributary of the Cherwell<br \/>\nOn the Banbury Warwick Line<\/p>\n<p>Near the Eastern  Boundary<br \/>\nCrowning a steep hill<br \/>\nHistorically spectacular<br \/>\nBounded by the streams that spill<br \/>\nTheir gentleness an favour<br \/>\nDappling they be<br \/>\nOnce watercress did flourish<br \/>\nNear the mill extraordinary<\/p>\n<p>Some 20 years of thought and care<br \/>\nAnd literally no vile<br \/>\nChemicals or fertilisers<br \/>\nHow to reconcile<br \/>\nThe Hawthorns and Crab Apples<br \/>\nAnd the Oaks resplendent gaze<br \/>\nWith sweet far reaching noble views<br \/>\nAnd a quiet distinguished phase<\/p>\n<p>We Aligned ourselves  to the energy of calm<br \/>\nAnd certain praise<br \/>\nHarbingers of fertility<br \/>\nFrom Saxon times it be<br \/>\nA medieval village<br \/>\nOf true blown sanctity.<\/p>\n<p>A labyrinth of circles<br \/>\nGrass and clover clung<br \/>\nA fire bowl at its centre<br \/>\nAnd,we three among<br \/>\nThe magical impressions<br \/>\nThe light and sky above<br \/>\nOur wondrous ritual spoken<br \/>\nWith slow and honest love<\/p>\n<p>Bespoke with pure emotion<br \/>\nSensational aplomb<br \/>\nOn a super moon in Aries<br \/>\nNew beginnings our rule of thumb<br \/>\nNot until September next year 2024<br \/>\nA portal stood and we three felt<br \/>\nA ceremony of gloriousness<br \/>\nAn Earth Resonance was dealt.<\/p>\n<p>Perceived of actual wonder<br \/>\nThe licking flames did call<br \/>\nIncense curled into the air<br \/>\nWith love and breath and all<br \/>\nThe majesty of being<br \/>\nOf seeing<br \/>\nthe torsion field provide<br \/>\nStructure and connectedness<br \/>\nWhere\u2019s Together we did hide<br \/>\nWe repeated the mantras<br \/>\nFeeling them all through<br \/>\nAs the light was fading<br \/>\nConsciousness did accrue <\/p>\n<p>A soulful and sustaining attitude<br \/>\nto care<br \/>\nWe drove down to the boundary<br \/>\nSucking in the air<br \/>\nAll three of us moved greatly<br \/>\nInspired by this green land<br \/>\nWe purposefully shared the offerings<br \/>\nAnd could then understand <\/p>\n<p>We could feel the time of yesteryear<br \/>\nAnd The many souls before<br \/>\nWho worked and walked these hallowed<br \/>\nSteps<br \/>\nIn times of peace and war<br \/>\nGreat value placed on ritual<br \/>\nA bold enlightening, here<br \/>\nSpoken with collective verve<br \/>\nAnd an impassioned tear.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A crescent Moon A clearing in a tongue of land Was where At the extreme North West Of Oxfordshire on Warwickshire\u2019s border share On 8.27 acres Of level paddock land Slightly acidic based rich soil On clay I understand At &hellip;
