At home we see those big black flies
\nAs negative and we
\nTry to swat them
\nWe can\u2019t stand to see them
\nFlying free<\/p>\n
Blow flies flesh flies
\nPerched on shit flies
\nThen perched on our food
\nThey contravene our thinking
\nIn how they might exude<\/p>\n
The detritus they have been sat upon
\nBefore they reached our plate
\nAnd what we gave to realise
\nIs as creatures they are great<\/p>\n
They are the cleanup merchants
\nHelping to decay
\nPretty rotten materials
\nAnd send them on their way <\/p>\n
Via its true proboscis
\nIt suck\u2019s up potential food
\nAIDS in decomposition
\nOf course it does feel crude<\/p>\n
Sponging mouthparts register
\nNo teeth you see to use
\nEcological excrement
\nOn our plate it\u2019s not good news<\/p>\n
Where they have been before reaching you
\nGoodness knows and so
\nSpitting their juices on to our food
\nThe filth is going to grow<\/p>\n
And it\u2019s in our mind for certain
