\nnormally a cat or dog
\nwho cannot understand

\nlook in their eyes
\nthey know what
\nwe are doing

and some of it
\nis carried out
\nin a most insensitive way
\nsome is cruel and nasty
\nand those doing that will pay
\nthey will pay
\nwhen their time comes
\nit won’t be as painless
\nthey thought
\nthe universe will see to that
\nand their past crimes
\nwill be sought<\/p>\n
forlorn faces gripped with fear
\nholding onto life
\nso dear
\nplastic bags
\nin that we’ve thrown
\nthe evidence
\nand its us that groan
\nwe who have to feel the pain
\nover and over and over again!
\nthe innocent
\nthe unwanted one’s
\nsomeone’s daughter
\nsomeone’s sons
\nsomeone’s father
\nand mothers too
\nnow carcasses
\nnow prepared
\nfor tomorrows stew<\/p>\n
handlers look at the evil eye
\nthey piss themselves
\nand we know why
\nthe fear
\nthe fright
\nther end is near
\nwhere the hell do

Euthanasia is a big word
\nit does disturb
\nit has occurred
\nbillions of times
\nas souls depart
