To think In his day and age
\nFamilies imagine
\nThe poor cows in barns somewhere
\nStill provide food
\nNot from lush fields
\nBut forced to greater yields
\nThere was a time
\nWhen farmers had practised
\nGrazing in summer
\nAnd in Winter inside
\nBut intensive reckoning
\nSeemingly mattered
\nZero grazing happened
\nAnd cows became shattered<\/p>\n
We idiots wanted cheap milk
\nAnd our mothers
\nThat\u2019s our bovine mothers
\nWere slaves to the farm
\nEconomies of scale
\nEthics were cancelled
\nCompetition and superstores
\nTended to derail<\/p>\n
These beautiful cows
\nRape racks became normal
\nMothers made pregnant
\nMale calves were shot dead
\nAnimals welfare went out of the window
\nStretched farming systems
\nThats where we\u2019ve been lead<\/p>\n
Fewer farm labourers
\nAnd huge farms took over
\nRural communities suffered of course
\nA huge carbon footprint
\nMore and more cruelty
\nPollution increasing
\nSlurry it\u2019s everywhere
\nThe stench and the filth
\nSpreading as well
\nKilling the calves
\nJust little babies
\nKarma the harmer
