{"id":585,"date":"2011-12-20T15:48:09","date_gmt":"2011-12-20T15:48:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cooksdelight.co.uk\/blog\/?p=585"},"modified":"2011-12-20T15:54:14","modified_gmt":"2011-12-20T15:54:14","slug":"slaughtering-methods-in-abattoirs-have-changed-without-the-public-knowledge","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cooksdelight.co.uk\/blog\/2011\/12\/slaughtering-methods-in-abattoirs-have-changed-without-the-public-knowledge\/","title":{"rendered":"Slaughtering methods in Abattoirs have changed without the Public&#8217;s knowledge"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Who made the decision<br \/>\n<!--more-->for somebody did<br \/>\nTo have meat from<br \/>\nUn stunned animals<br \/>\nSid<br \/>\nWas it Sid, or did it<br \/>\njust happen one day<br \/>\nA stun gun went missing<br \/>\nSo, the only way<br \/>\nWas to lead the sweet calves<br \/>\nInto, the abattoir<br \/>\nPut a chain round their foot<br \/>\nAnd hoist them, they are<br \/>\nDangling that&#8217;s when a<br \/>\nman with a knife<br \/>\nCuts a bloody great slit in their<br \/>\nthroat<br \/>\nThen their life<\/p>\n<p>ends in a kind of dire<br \/>\nblood thirsty way<br \/>\nAs the slitter is covered<br \/>\nin blood<br \/>\nhe can pay<br \/>\nHis maker inflicting<br \/>\nthis torrent of pain<br \/>\nas the poor sodding<br \/>\ncalf shakes. and falls<br \/>\noff the chain<\/p>\n<p>writhing below in its<br \/>\nblood on the floor<br \/>\nWas this religious?<br \/>\nTo me, blood and gore<br \/>\nHas no place in any<br \/>\nfarm animals end<br \/>\nDocile and loving<br \/>\nsomebody&#8217;s friend<br \/>\nSo the stun gun<br \/>\nwent missing<br \/>\nin one abattoir<br \/>\nand now slaughter<br \/>\nwithout it<br \/>\nis common<br \/>\nthe star<br \/>\nof the piece<br \/>\nthe poor creature<br \/>\nWhose thoughts we<br \/>\ndon&#8217;t know<br \/>\nAs we eat his rare<br \/>\nrump with chips<br \/>\nand a glow<\/p>\n<p>of complete<br \/>\nsatisfaction<br \/>\ncomes over our face<br \/>\nCos we are part of the<br \/>\ngreat human race<br \/>\nWe let people raise<br \/>\ncows and pigs, so that we<br \/>\ncan chomp on their body parts<br \/>\nSo happily<\/p>\n<p>We don&#8217;t even care<br \/>\nWhat pain they go through<br \/>\nOr whether they&#8217;re stunned<br \/>\nFor us, its a new<br \/>\nParadigm<br \/>\nand, supermarkets galore<br \/>\nBecause of their heritage<br \/>\nKosher seems sure<br \/>\nor Muslim some holy man<br \/>\nblessing the meat<br \/>\nMost couldn&#8217;t care less<br \/>\nShechita complete<br \/>\nwith Rabbi<br \/>\nDhabiha or something<br \/>\nHalal,<br \/>\nbut to my mind<br \/>\nits wrong<br \/>\nAnd so boy or gal<\/p>\n<p>you should realise<br \/>\nwhere your salt beef<br \/>\nComes from, and<br \/>\nThe creature they<br \/>\nsacrificed<br \/>\nYes had it planned<br \/>\nTo go on that day<br \/>\nLife is sacred to all<br \/>\nBut in that sad moment<br \/>\nBlood poured down the wall<br \/>\nIts trachea torn out<br \/>\nIts poor soul, its eyes<br \/>\nin agony, rolling<br \/>\nIn abject surprise<\/p>\n<p>Most Supermarkets<br \/>\nHave now introduced<br \/>\nThis method of killing<br \/>\nThe truth has been loosed<br \/>\non the public, they now know<br \/>\neach time they consume<br \/>\nMeat Can they feel<br \/>\nIts impending doom<br \/>\nAs it went to its maker<br \/>\nin a great deal of pain<br \/>\nthrashing about<br \/>\non a rusty old chain<br \/>\nThe Jews will not eat certain<br \/>\nparts, and so you<br \/>\nIf a gentile will eat it<br \/>\nno labels on view<br \/>\nSweetbreads of whatever<br \/>\nplaced on a tray<br \/>\nthe consumer won&#8217;t know<br \/>\nBut may want to I&#8217;d say<\/p>\n<p>Was it influenced<br \/>\nby the great<br \/>\nJewish Boards<br \/>\nSomething did happen<br \/>\nwere their cash rewards<br \/>\na process cut out<br \/>\nmay be cutting the cost<br \/>\nBut a principled ethic<br \/>\nI believe, has<br \/>\nbeen lost<br \/>\nand when calves, cows,and pigs<br \/>\nnot forgetting the sheep<br \/>\nAre led into the abattoir<br \/>\nwhat we sow, they reap<br \/>\nWe&#8217;re after profit<br \/>\nthe wages of sin<br \/>\nNo prophet exists<br \/>\nnot in this foul din<br \/>\nThis hell hole, this evil place<br \/>\nButchering souls<br \/>\nThank God I am vegan<br \/>\nwith such different goals<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: Verdana,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;
