Two African Forest Elephants
\nTheir Ill health it would seem
\nIs brought about by negligence
\nLooking at them a scream
\nInside of me apparent
\nA debility
\na chronic complication
\nTheir tusks it seems to me
\nAnd to others show contagion
\nSome infectihity
\nWork is clearly needed
\nTheir keepers seemingly
\nNot aware of their illness
\nAnd, why it should be<\/p>\n
Lack of hygiene dirty habits
\nA worsening of sorts
\nTusks are missing
\nPossibly chipped away
\nInexcusable thoughts
\nAn air of criminality
\nIncompetence maybe
\nIrreverence and humiliation
\nAnd wavering loyalty.<\/p>\n
Surgery is needed
\nThe zoo director He
\nApparently hadn\u2019t noticed
\nAny irregularity
\nNo apparent violation
\nNo indictable offence
\nThat would cause These elephants to suffer
