It happened
\nA knock at the door
\nI better try and see
\nIf I can take the parcels in
\nBut I fell
\nHead first
\nHands free <\/p>\n
My head hit the runner
\nBlacked out for a bit
\nBlood was running in my eyes
\nI then tried to sit
\nBut fell again upon my head
\nMore blood everywhere
\nDown my arms I was frightened
\nAnd
\nvery aware<\/p>\n
Just there in the darkness
\nI call on Alexa she
\nAnnounced the fact I had fallen
\nBut nobody came to me
\nThen I found my I pad
\nleft a message to say
\nCan you help me I have fallen
\nAnd they came back right away<\/p>\n
A lot of blood a nasty cut
\nOn my head the pain
\nBruising and contusions
\nI really felt the strain
\nManaging to get up
\nA cushion at my feet
\nC called out the ambulance
\nAnd my swollen feet
\nDidn\u2019t
\nfit my shoes alas
\nAnd it was very cold
\nThinners coupled with head wounds
\nAdversity had rolled
\nAround me
\nThe great moon was low
\nWatford was to where
\nI was taken at midnight
\nThat\u2019s when I got there <\/p>\n
Treated very rapidly
\nPut in bed at four
\nHad a brain scan
\nThey were worried a bleed
\nNo one was sure
\nMy head was really battered
\nThe wounds glued
\nI can say
\nBrought back by a Red Cross car
\nAnd I drove back
\nThat day
\nIt\u2019s amazing what the body does<\/p>\n
Tomorrow some pharmacist
\nIs coming to look me over
\nAs for doctors they enlist
\nOthers now to do their work
\nTriage is the word
\nPhotograph your injuries
