For years we’ve seen it coming
\nand now its here and we know
\nif this criminality continues
\nthe elephant victims grow
\nit will be quickly realised
\nThe elephant will be
\nextinct and gone forever
\nno longer will we see
\nthat great and wondrous being
\nrunning through the wild
\nplaying in the mud holes
\nalongside its sweet child
\nand of course we know its all
\nbecause of Ivory
\nthe stuff of Kings and Queens
\nand those who know
\npeople clearly, lots they look the other way
\nand the elephants being slaughtered it does grow
\ninsidious is this vile and highly profitable
\ntrade with China and its got to be
\nthe market has been growing a big spanner they’ve been throwing in the survival for we see
\nhundreds being machine gunned out in Africa
\npoachers,hunters call them what you will
\nthey get a ransom for the wholesale slaughter
\nand clearly now so many they do kill
\nunless the world wakes up and stops this happening
\nElephants are doomed I have to say
\nall those working in the bush to save them
\ncan’t match the ugliness and the dismay
\ncaused by what is evil yes evil in our midst
\nand a lot of people at it unlikely to desist
\nso the writing is now on the wall for Elephants
\nhumans beings are a greedy breed
\nthey’d rather kill and maim the greatest living soul
\nso the Ivory traders can succeed
\nAnimals rights and conservation people compared to all the rich who want to buy
