Recently the household names have been
\ntrying to redress
\nthe burger and lasagne thing
\nthat got them in a mess
\na nation of horse lovers
\nwas very sad to see
\nwithin their bloody ready meal
\nwas horse and pig for free<\/p>\n
horse slaughter is a horrid act
\nthat much of course, we know
\npoor killing proceedure’s
\nand the torment it does grow
\nto realise the burgers were horse
\nand pig who let
\nthat get into the beef chain
\nhad it just got through the net<\/p>\n
up went arms like crazy
\ntrying to reduce the shock
\nthat sent some souls in search of help
\nthat admission it did knock
\na hole in all their packaging
\ntheir marketing, their sales
\nit put the wind up CEO’s
\nenvisaging de rails
\nof budgets and of business
\nclearly it did shock
\nhorse meat in their childrens
\nfoods
\nthe devil did unlock<\/p>\n
a frightening scenario
\nwhich mean’t nobody knew
\nexactly what was in the food
\nthat had been sold into
\nthe supermarket systems
\nsupposedly controlled
\nbut, in actuality
\nthey had to be consoled<\/p>\n
if the truth be known
\nit probably has happened many times
\nits just it wasn’t picked up
\nas one of the sordid crimes
\nThough suddenly the FSA is seen
\nto crack the whip
\nFindus, Tesco quite
\na lot have discovered
\nits no trip
\nsourcing the meat products
\nfrom all around the place
\nBeef sees horse and pork
\nand this and that
\nits a disgrace
\nwith all these specifications
\ncheap horse meat would appear
\nto have galloped right on through
\nthese production systems
\nand a tear or two
\nhas clearly rolled down some
\nof the CEO’s faces oh!
\njockeying for position
\nin the high stakes
