The weary wolf now wends its way
\nthrough wilderness
\nboth night and day
\nhe’s run off the land
\nby the ranchers who
\nseem to have a differing view
\nWe were here first! yes its us
\nreally nothing to discuss
\nwilderness is the wolves domain
\ncow’s arn’t part of that refrain
\nWe’re
\nshot at
\nmany of us lost
\nmy wife and children
\nhave borne the cost
\naround here humans live in fear
\nthe sounds of gunfire on the ear
\nthey carry rifles everyday
\nshooting at us
\ncome what may
\nwe must howl must tell the moon
