Does fur help you to sing
\nyou famous 4 or five
\nDoes fur help you to see
\nI suppose, it keeps you warm
\nbut then warm, you can be
\nthere’s lots of man made fabrics
\nwhy do we need to kill
\nan innocent little creature
\nits blood why do we spill?
\nwhy do we let folk trap them
\nand an agonising death
\nas they try to get away
\nfrom those steel jaws
\nand fight for breath
\nbleeding like the clappers
\ninevitably it lays
\ndown, its eyes close tightly
\nnever again to raise
\nits head to see its family
\nits children ne’r again
\nto see its home, the forest
\nit now know’s dreadful pain
\nthe pain of passing from this world
\nof leaving its friends behind
\nof dying from the exhaustion
\nof losing its sweet mind
\nmurdered in cold blood in fact
\nand stripped of skin and hair
\nthe brute who does this to them
\nclearly does not care
\nthe tailors who weave all this pain
\ninto the coats you wear
\nthe evil and the blood and snot
\nyes my friends its there
\neach time you venture out
\nto show off, wse are part of you
\nall our pain and agony now permeates
\nand few
\nwill realise the suffering and ever understand
\nthat fur is cruel beyond all words
\nand to wear us is out of hand
\nand you have so much money
\nun yet still do not see
\nthe pain the bloody cruelty that you inflict
\non me
\nand other soulful creatures that happen
\nto have fur
\nbut it doesn’t make you beautiful
