it was a bright Autumnal morning<\/p>\n
out across the woods<\/p>\n
the sunbeams leapt into the spirit<\/p>\n
lots of \u00a0riding hoods<\/p>\n
had gathered with their \u00a0hairy hounds<\/p>\n
foxy for their pie<\/p>\n
peering through the thorny \u00a0hedges<\/p>\n
my heart began to fly<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
back to the waving fields of corn<\/p>\n
where first I met my Flame<\/p>\n
a vixen she was gorgeous<\/p>\n
she very soon became<\/p>\n
the mother of my two fine cubs<\/p>\n
“rich red” and “ginger tan”<\/p>\n
who both loved eating \u00a0 voles<\/p>\n
but soon learned to hate man<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
especially the hunting types<\/p>\n
who rode their horses hard<\/p>\n
forcing them through brambles<\/p>\n
where the man race had been barred<\/p>\n
up through spikey tussocks<\/p>\n
where only foxes go<\/p>\n
down passed noahs overgrown pond<\/p>\n
where the wondrous Alders \u00a0grow<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
around the Oak to Leeward<\/p>\n
of the maidens \u00a0house at Stow<\/p>\n
then \u00a0hack down up the bridle path<\/p>\n
and double back to see<\/p>\n
if i can shake these horrid hounds<\/p>\n
now coming after me<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
my heart sounds like a tom tom drum<\/p>\n
my eyes seem \u00a0set to pop<\/p>\n
I’ve got to just keep going<\/p>\n
i can’t afford \u00a0to stop<\/p>\n
Clouds of really rotten breath<\/p>\n
enveloped me \u00a0for \u00a0they<\/p>\n
were getting closer as i was slowing<\/p>\n
they wanted to catch me<\/p>\n
tear me limb from limb the bastards<\/p>\n
make mince meat out if me<\/p>\n
whipping hard their \u00a0horses<\/p>\n
on their violent spree.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
thankfully it hit the earth<\/p>\n
i was home at last<\/p>\n
through the tunnels deeper down<\/p>\n
My die thank god was cast<\/p>\n
out of there and into the secret hole where we<\/p>\n
lived down through the hillock<\/p>\n
in the hollow of a tree.<\/p>\n
