The thirst for profit
\ngoes on unabated
\nthe quest for energy
\nat any cost
\nhome produced is what the
\nYanks were after
\nintegrity alas though
\nhas been lost<\/p>\n
the risks they took

\ncolossal to the common man
\nIts profit for the corporate
\nits all about their coffers
\nfor me its very clear what they
\ndid plan<\/p>\n
America looks only at the energy
\nthe cost to produce that energy
\nme thinks
\nto the air we breathe
\nthe water
\nand the environment
\nfew around its seems
\nconnect the links<\/p>\n
its not until your water
\nand your land
\nbecomes a quagmire
\nor a toxic swamp
\nand your lost
\nlegislatively
\nthey’ve tied you up
\nin contracts and in get outs
\nand they do
\nreally Fcuk with Nature
\nand our aquifers and
\nthe risks are very grave
\nwell that’s my view<\/p>\n
its a vital source and wasting
\nvast amounts is now suggesting
\nto the world at large
\nthat America should be
\nmore thoughtful about what it wastes
\nand why it wastes
\nshort termism
\nis not the way to be<\/p>\n
the gas is chiefly methane
\nso a greenhouse gas
\nthe methods are as
\nsick as they can be
\nin 2011 around 10 million gallons
\nof toxic carcinogens
\nextraordinarily
\nwent to earth
\nfor “Energy”
\nthe chemicals they use
\nabuse our precious soils
\nits arse about face
\nthey refuse<\/p>\n
Fracking we should send the
\nbastards packing
\nthe problem is we’re lacking
\nhonesty
\nvictims there are armies of them
\nout there
\nthey’ve lost their rights
\ntheir sights to this travesty<\/p>\n
their land
\ntheir soil
\nthe big boys stole
\nthe lot of it
\nand no insurance helps
\nalas its true
\nvictims they are dotted
\nall around the land
\nits scary
\nand its hairy
\nplease be wary<\/p>\n
The corporate denials
\nyou must hear them
\nthey’ve got the legislation
\non their side
\nand all of it absolves them
\nand Joe Public is the one
\nsuffering the trials
\nand the darkest tribulations
\nJoe Public yes and Nancy
\nare undone<\/p>\n
wishing they had never gone along with it
\nthat quest for home grown energy
\nthe earthquakes and the earth shakes
\nand the heartbreaks now that be
\na part of life here after
\nand the threats from industry
\nwater, air, and the little
\ninvestments that you had
\nall of it was swallowed up
\nand you know now you’ve been had<\/p>\n
they’ve tied you up in so many knots
\nthe solicitors were primed
\nthe corporates just walked away
\nout of the pit they climbed
\ndusted off their muddy boots
