a Poem for you<\/p>\n
you probably were not aware that there<\/p>\n
was someone who<\/p>\n
could communicate with Ladybirds<\/p>\n
and might reply to you<\/p>\n
there I was imagining the study<\/p>\n
that I’d done<\/p>\n
and how could I relate to it<\/p>\n
or you know to anyone<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
and then the Times on Wednesday<\/p>\n
carried a report<\/p>\n
about my pals the Ladybirds<\/p>\n
who have given it much thought<\/p>\n
you need to know their story<\/p>\n
and I am just the boy<\/p>\n
to put it down in poetry<\/p>\n
which I hope you will enjoy<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Transgenics is a frightful thing<\/p>\n
Its something I have found<\/p>\n
peeves the female Ladybird<\/p>\n
and covers, well new ground<\/p>\n
through aeons they have been sampling<\/p>\n
aphids good snd sweet<\/p>\n
and now with transgenic spuds around<\/p>\n
which certain aphids eat<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
On eating them some Lady birds<\/p>\n
nust dint feel at ease<\/p>\n
their wings feel very heavy<\/p>\n
and they complain of creaking knees<\/p>\n
and there are a dearth if Aphids<\/p>\n
Upon \u00a0the pkants she feels<\/p>\n
which causes her frustration<\/p>\n
and stress too she reveals<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
on mating \u00a0disappointment<\/p>\n
its bugged her everyday<\/p>\n
she’s noticed she lays fewer eggs<\/p>\n
and wondered why, okay<\/p>\n
was it diwn to hormones<\/p>\n
thats what she asked of me<\/p>\n
and thats she felt transgenics<\/p>\n
was a selfish theory<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n

in their annual report<\/p>\n
might have just concerned themselves<\/p>\n
to how the ladies thought<\/p>\n
on swallowing down the aphids<\/p>\n
and tasting their fine goo<\/p>\n
they kind if thought the flavour<\/p>\n
wasnt what they were used to<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
refkecting on what happened<\/p>\n
less eggs they had made<\/p>\n
bright young with it Ladybirds<\/p>\n
which had been her stock in trade<\/p>\n
tis stress that I relate Nick Birch<\/p>\n
and hopefully you might try<\/p>\n
to put yourself \u00a0under her spots<\/p>\n
and know where she does lie<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
ber future broods are dwindling<\/p>\n
ber life expectancy<\/p>\n
has shortened I can now confirm<\/p>\n
distraught take that from me<\/p>\n
transgenics is an arrogance<\/p>\n
the threat to all who live<\/p>\n

has so very much to give.<\/p>\n
