The crowd were hushed
\nthe light went down
\nand on the centre
\nof the stage
\na dancer dressed
\nin black chiffon
\nso full of air
\nit curled
\nthe page
\nturned
\nshe spun
\nand like a young impala
\nleapt and flew
\nwith a jovial accord
\nthat few dancers could do<\/p>\n
exultation sensing the
\nphenomena abroad
\novercome some serene sense
\nreally our reward
\nendearing every spirit
\nfrom elysian worlds away
\npirouetting record setting
\nbeyond the call of day <\/p>\n
the spotlight spread
\nyour shadow
\nand with it you were one
\nstarry eyed and mystified
\nbewitched, and then you spun
\nevocative, possessed
\nof every positive desire
\nI was on my feet
\nas were the audience
\na fire
\nburned in hearts collectively
\nyour aura all could see
\nmercurial effusiveness
\nand emotionality<\/p>\n
wild and witch like wonderment
\noverwhelming all
\nwondrously sustaining
\nbehold a wolf’s wild call
\nthat almost chills the marrow
\nand send shivers down the spine
\nthe chiffon it whirled wonderfully
\nsuch poise, and you looked divine<\/p>\n
It may be coming back
\nthe memory of dance, the flow
\nanything is possible
\nand spirits always grow
\nthe hauntingly refreshing strings
\naccompanying, it all
\nand witnessed now by the wizards
