being able to live<\/p>\n
under the sky<\/p>\n

look into their faces<\/p>\n
so character full<\/p>\n
a previous eminence<\/p>\n
able to pull<\/p>\n
rank with pure wildness<\/p>\n
where they can compete<\/p>\n
with in the scheme of things<\/p>\n
and put up with the heat<\/p>\n

they eat with the seasons<\/p>\n
with cause and \u00a0effect<\/p>\n
primordial knowledge<\/p>\n
they could elect<\/p>\n
what and where to find<\/p>\n

and their stories<\/p>\n
their music and \u00a0dance<\/p>\n
Eating their tucker<\/p>\n
at every chance<\/p>\n

they labour on roads<\/p>\n
Alcohol seems to be<\/p>\n
slowing their gait<\/p>\n
criminality<\/p>\n
its just understanding<\/p>\n
thats broken and we<\/p>\n
see cities encroaching<\/p>\n
Onto the Aborigine<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Land if you will<\/p>\n
where wildness bore fruit<\/p>\n
its the same everywhere<\/p>\n
many knowing their root<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Pointing their fingers<\/p>\n
living in style<\/p>\n
improving surroundings<\/p>\n
All of the while<\/p>\n
bigger and bigger plot<\/p>\n
farms everywhere<\/p>\n
the wilds being breached<\/p>\n
heightening \u00a0the despair<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Its now really everywhere<\/p>\n
the Indigenous soul<\/p>\n
Hliving in harmony<\/p>\n
Knowing their role<\/p>\n
society growing<\/p>\n
Cities desire<\/p>\n
more countryside plots<\/p>\n
outstretched arms feel the fire<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
playing the didge out in the sun<\/p>\n
a lager or two when the old day is done<\/p>\n
weaving and matting<\/p>\n
baskets for sale<\/p>\n
Aborigine art<\/p>\n
and the thread of a tale<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
around the fireside<\/p>\n
beer by the can<\/p>\n
we hear the old stories<\/p>\n
of this or that clan<\/p>\n
the dream states<\/p>\n
the ancestral times<\/p>\n
Long before<\/p>\n
our animal friends<\/p>\n
and real \u00a0life in the raw.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
the advent of the white man<\/p>\n
sees \u00a0perilous times<\/p>\n
they were forced off their land<\/p>\n
which they saw as crimes<\/p>\n
but reality told them<\/p>\n
as citizens they<\/p>\n
were just second class<\/p>\n
at the end of the day<\/p>\n

tossed from the cities<\/p>\n
out into the Bush<\/p>\n
they assembled in groups<\/p>\n
it was a push<\/p>\n
a lot of prejudice<\/p>\n
regarded were they<\/p>\n
as not fit for purpose<\/p>\n
whatever some say<\/p>\n

their culture profound<\/p>\n
their art work sublime<\/p>\n
they were the embodiment<\/p>\n
passing their time<\/p>\n
in caves, in the shade<\/p>\n
Able to find<\/p>\n
food for the table
\nand to unwind<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
the heat never bothered them<\/p>\n
their unity<\/p>\n
they had the knowledge<\/p>\n
And were able to see<\/p>\n
the wood from the trees<\/p>\n
and their divininty<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
living off the land<\/p>\n
Sat under \u00a0the sky<\/p>\n
eating with Nature<\/p>\n
and, knowing why<\/p>\n
close to the dream state<\/p>\n
the mythology<\/p>\n
the stories and the glories<\/p>\n
and the right to be free.<\/p>\n
