Before \u00a0and left \u00a0to journey far<\/p>\n
the ritual fire \u00a0the coloured flame<\/p>\n
the old brick walls of varying hues<\/p>\n
accosted by the seeds of time<\/p>\n
greys and silvers splotches come<\/p>\n
patterning \u00a0I have seen some<\/p>\n
All sorts \u00a0of colours \u00a0meet the eye<\/p>\n
deftly brushed framed by the sky<\/p>\n
cadmium and brimstone there<\/p>\n
grizzly hoary frosted air<\/p>\n
unnamed lichens squatters \u00a0they<\/p>\n
came as seeds from far away<\/p>\n
They rest \u00a0awhile on stones and wood<\/p>\n
seeking crannies<\/p>\n
That would \u00a0be good<\/p>\n
liverworts all crusty souls<\/p>\n
apparently with different roles<\/p>\n
its all about substance so they say<\/p>\n
the goldfinch and chaffinch that work a way<\/p>\n
with moss and hair and tendrils dry<\/p>\n
like artists so much they apply<\/p>\n
threadlike stalks and pointy hats<\/p>\n
winter foliage tiny spats<\/p>\n
of colour edged with crimson spots<\/p>\n
that few see despite lots and lots<\/p>\n
only the minutiae apparently<\/p>\n
and an odd poet yea like me.<\/p>\n
