but Pain was on my side<\/p>\n

he would not be denied<\/p>\n

he influenced my recovery<\/p>\n
it has still a way to go<\/p>\n
Each night is one of stress and strain<\/p>\n
laying down I know<\/p>\n

some days I am losing ground<\/p>\n
trauma and the victim<\/p>\n
clearly it had found<\/p>\n

a place with me<\/p>\n
my legs on fire<\/p>\n

was losing loads from the bottom<\/p>\n
of my foot<\/p>\n
the reason why
\nStricken and off-colour<\/p>\n
exhausted and run down<\/p>\n
forget the petrol shortage<\/p>\n
there was no way to get to \u00a0town<\/p>\n

Setback after setback<\/p>\n
Indisposed and \u00a0unwell<\/p>\n
whispering in my ear<\/p>\n
Dear Pain the sage man<\/p>\n
out of \u00a0Hell<\/p>\n
chafing all that friction<\/p>\n
blankets sheets and \u00a0skin<\/p>\n
the wounds expressing fervour<\/p>\n
bad on my right shin<\/p>\n
comfortless and joyless<\/p>\n
poetry my crutches they<\/p>\n
helped me with my daily chores<\/p>\n
the nerve pain there just everyday<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
my sage my peaceful warrior<\/p>\n
his tweaks his sharper bouts of \u00a0pain<\/p>\n
i became a tortoise with a dedicated<\/p>\n
shuffle gain<\/p>\n
getting really no where \u00a0fast<\/p>\n
on the slippery floor<\/p>\n
The \u00a0leakage it was bothering<\/p>\n
Which I just could not ignore.<\/p>\n
