A poem from the wild birds<\/p>\n
In fact its their appeal<\/p>\n
Nocturnal migrations<\/p>\n
are very very real<\/p>\n
when the air is calmer<\/p>\n
less strength needed for flight<\/p>\n
less predators to complicate<\/p>\n
and we then use the light<\/p>\n
the moon in all its splendour<\/p>\n
the stars that polarise<\/p>\n
the Earth\u2019s magnetic field<\/p>\n
and of course pure sight<\/p>\n
as to your well lit buildings<\/p>\n
and skyscrapers you see<\/p>\n
although we are \u00a0attentive<\/p>\n
They really shine brightly<\/p>\n
and it is so confusing<\/p>\n
and tragically you see<\/p>\n
we fly towards the illuminations<\/p>\n
and die \u00a0crushed terribly.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
it truly is \u00a0frustrating<\/p>\n
and makes us wonder why<\/p>\n
your architects and engineers<\/p>\n
don\u2019t consider us<\/p>\n
the sky<\/p>\n
is where we are<\/p>\n
we share the sky<\/p>\n
the mortal dangers \u00a0are<\/p>\n
out there, we are suffering<\/p>\n
the LIGHT pollution scar<\/p>\n
we are painstaking about our routes<\/p>\n
as careful as can be<\/p>\n
watchfulness and vigilance<\/p>\n
and our memory<\/p>\n
its generally the unconcern<\/p>\n
your laxness everywhere<\/p>\n
despite our concentration<\/p>\n
high buildings really scare<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
the living daylights out of us<\/p>\n
and thousands of us die<\/p>\n
every night it isn\u2019t right<\/p>\n
You should \u00a0try and fly<\/p>\n
it feels like discrimination<\/p>\n
with misjudgement everywhere<\/p>\n
tactless and insensitive<\/p>\n
and to top it \u00a0all bad air.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
high structures in our flyways<\/p>\n
disorientate, \u00a0they do<\/p>\n
its maddening to fly for miles<\/p>\n
so many miles<\/p>\n
its true<\/p>\n
we are dying in our thousands<\/p>\n
and its, all down to you.<\/p>\n
life is packed with meaning<\/p>\n
the halcyon days we spent
\nenjoying, the summery winds<\/p>\n
in the main we are content<\/p>\n
so help us think about the birds<\/p>\n
Each one of us a \u00a0feathered friend<\/p>\n
use the brains you were born with<\/p>\n
And please \u00a0please comprehend.<\/p>\n
