production and innovation<\/p>\n
profits all the way<\/p>\n
cruelty means nothing<\/p>\n
to consumers far away<\/p>\n

lockdown we are realising<\/p>\n
open cages where<\/p>\n
we are cast in our own cells<\/p>\n
to live with the despair<\/p>\n
the fear clouds really everywhere<\/p>\n
and frighteners by the score<\/p>\n
the sickness brought the tidal wave<\/p>\n
a kind of unholy war<\/p>\n

the animals have suffered<\/p>\n
years and years of this<\/p>\n
freedom loving \u00a0environmental<\/p>\n
souls living with bliss<\/p>\n
until we decided otherwise<\/p>\n
to cram them into cells<\/p>\n
barns and cages<\/p>\n
we decided<\/p>\n
and we allocated Hells<\/p>\n
for them to live their lives in<\/p>\n
be fertilised and made<\/p>\n
to then extend their families<\/p>\n
so we could steal away<\/p>\n
their offspring for our dead flesh trade<\/p>\n
and our dairies that do pay<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
batteries of chickens<\/p>\n
winged godly ones who fly<\/p>\n
Not in \u00a0human batteries<\/p>\n
where they never see the sky<\/p>\n
Never feel the sunshine<\/p>\n
or the cooling rain<\/p>\n
and every egg they lay is stolen<\/p>\n
for the farmers gain<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
some fight for the animals<\/p>\n
with ferocity<\/p>\n
poem after poem<\/p>\n
fall on deaf ears<\/p>\n
tragically<\/p>\n
eggs are sold for humans<\/p>\n
to eat each tiny soul<\/p>\n
Who never gets its \u00a0chance in life<\/p>\n
lost in that great dark hole<\/p>\n

where money and where profit<\/p>\n
sees life cut short each day<\/p>\n
billions of sweet lives are lost<\/p>\n
wildness filed away<\/p>\n
Australia is hoping for batteries to go<\/p>\n
whilst locking up the human tribe<\/p>\n
barbarians now grow<\/p>\n
larger by the moment<\/p>\n
feasting on their spoils<\/p>\n
YES all the animals being killed<\/p>\n
for their dead flesh and their oils<\/p>\n
