A gal in a barn
\nWith a sow resting there
\nWonderment obvious
\nJust wondrous to share
\nA snap of repose
\nOf respect and true care
\nThis gal a real pal
\nTo the sow lying there<\/p>\n
Having been in gestation crates
\nProbably she
\nLocked down some nine months
\nA complete travesty
\nWhat males do to females
\nIn a small cage locked tight
\nFrustrated and uncared for
\nWhich was never right<\/p>\n
It was all economics
\nFarm costs and all that
\nA male clearly ignorant
\nA female left at
\nThe mercy of lockdown
\nWith babes on the way
\nRotten irreverence I have to say<\/p>\n
And now a real angel
\nLies with the sow
\nJust feel that respect
\nIts really know how
\nBoth love each other
\nAnd both truly care
\nAnd if we are honest
