We have to go all out to save the
\nGorillas for they are
\nReally up against it
\nof course they do star
\nUp there in the mountainous regions
\nOf the DRC
\nHigh up where its colder
\nBut where they like to be<\/p>\n
Thick fur will protect
\nThem against the cold and they
\nManage rather nicely
\nBut quite a lot do pay
\nThe piper thats the poachers
\nReady to take them out
\nFor bush meat nice and smoky
\nThats what its about<\/p>\n
But up there in the mountains
\nIn dense forests we
\nSee that its the human being
\nThat endangers them, we see
\nThe leopard sometimes take a bite
\nBut most of all we see
\nHunters and poachers doing their thing
\nWhich they do so brilliantly<\/p>\n
Bush meat though is upsetting
\nTheir applecart a bit
\nSmoked and sold in markets
\nThese massive souls they sit
\nQuietly in their family groups
\neating all the day
\nThese massive great ape warriors
\nAre dying out and they<\/p>\n
Just have to be protected
\nFor them the family counts
\nHumans are their enemies
\nWho secretly may pounce
\nAnd shoot them yea it happens
\nWhich is why we see
\nEver smaller numbers
\nWhich really shouldnt be <\/p>\n
A handsome strength
\nA true affection for the world
\nWhere they
\nLive and guard their families
\nThey do that every day
\nWith high expectations
\nThey seem to reassure
\nWith purpose and ambition
\nComing from their core
\nBut up against the soldiers
\nWith blazing guns and fight
\nfeeling some resignation
\nFamily for them is right
\nGorillas have audacity
\nTheir strength and tenacity
\nSees them failing sometimes
\nExploited tragically<\/p>\n
They have a fondness for their being
\nFor their environment where they
\nHold a state of wonder
\nThough feeling the dismay
\nWizards in so many ways
\nBut up against the threat
\nOf mightier enemies with fire sticks
\nThat hold the bitter bet<\/p>\n
Gorillas we must love them
\nWe must help them to get by
\nProtect them they are so like us
\nAnd why so many die
\nGallant to the point of death
\nFighting all the way
\nPart of their democracy
\nWhich I am sure is why they pay<\/p>\n
Africa we must take on all comers
