To breathe in all its beauty
\nThe emotion of the place
\nThe instinct and responsiveness
\nFor what is a glorious space

\nLeaving our cramped cities
\nAnd breathing the fresh air<\/p>\n
The Tarkine is a masterpiece
\nArtwork from the Gods
\nIts taken aeons to animate
\nAnd I am now at odds
\nWith sanity and purpose
\nTo see what might become
\nOf a overly engineered tailings dam
\nDesigned in fact to numb<\/p>\n
All the imagination
\nThe aura of this place
\nThe Aboriginie spirit
\nAnd all the natural grace
\nAnd favour that is apparent
\nSuch rapture from above
\nThe balance its been gifted
\nAll woven with real love<\/p>\n
A story book of legend
\nSomeone locked down waits
\nFor evil to come blubbering
\nTo knock down trees
\nAnd gates and bull dozers
\nAre on the cards
\nTo roll into this land
\nOf bounteous persuasion
\nWhy don\u2019t they understand<\/p>\n
These bloody awful mining
\nCorporations who
\nSpoil and ruin naturalness
\nIts what they like to do
\nPig ignorant for certain
\nDestruction at their core
\nAnything thats living
\nSmash it to the floor<\/p>\n
The ugliness is brilliant
\nStumps and bumps and pain
\nVictims lying everywhere
\nThis feels just insane
\nTo take a wondrous area
\nAnd turn it into Hell
\nAnd dig into its very bowels
\nCasting the evil spell<\/p>\n
Defacement monster dump trucks
\nCoughing out their lead
\nThe crassness and the badness
\nVile thats what I said
\nVulgarity and commonness
\nIts ill mannered and crude
\nIt truly is ridiculous
\nWatching the toxics spewed<\/p>\n
Into sparkling waters
\nFilled with fish and foe
\nFrogs and dragon flies and nymphs
\nEverywhere you go
\nThe tenderness apparent
\nThe mosses everywhere
\nPossibly the cleanest
\nAnd The purest kind of air<\/p>\n
This is what we are fighting for
\nThe warriors who care
\nWho reconnect with ancestors
\nWho stood for something there
\nOut there in the wilderness
\nThey put in their time and soul
\nSo as to guarantee the Tarkine magic
\nAnd its role<\/p>\n
In brightening every aspect
\nWith wonderment and joy
\nThey were all our hero\u2019s
\nTheir efforts they did employ
\nTransforming the bare earth
\nInto this gorgeous place
\nSo wonderful and special
\nSuch an awe-inspiring space<\/p>\n
All should feel elevated
\nFor such a commanding scene
\nMiles and miles and grandeur
\nIn every shade of green
\nA majesty of fine trees
\nWhere silence reigns and we
\nThe people can walk safely
\nAdmiring all we see<\/p>\n
