The Merino Sheep Farmers
\nHad whispered the message
\nThe awful destruction
\nThe brutal ordeal
\nA stench of disruption
\nOf the immortal and giving
\nSo vital to life force
\nAnd everything living
\nSo much symbiosis
\nThe survival of all
\nThe distress thats on offer
\nSearing tormenting
\nCries of the Wedge tail
\nHear their lamenting
\nThe Goshawks and others
\nThe odour of silence
\nAnd anguish from mothers
\nA great carbon store
\nIn the battle of climates
\nThe foul smelling death cries
\nSo many ignore<\/p>\n
This greatest of wilderness
\nWild and forever
\nA lasting romance with
\nThe earth and the sky
\nThe chatter of animals
\nAll at full volume
\nAsking each other
\nNow really just why
\nAre humans at work
\nDestroying our homelands
\nAll the magnificence
\nSo much discord
\nThe sawing the blasting
\nThe cacophonous cries
\nThe discordant rasping
\nThey fail on all counts
\nTo appreciate colour
\nA palette so varied
\nAn intensity
\nMuted and pastel
\nAnd garish and faded
\nWith bright notes
\nWith brilliance
\nAs loggers have raided<\/p>\n
The wonderful beautiful
\nOxygenation
\nSentinel creatures
\nRazed to the ground
\nBitterly sobbing
\nThe loggers are robbing
\nOur homesteads our
\nRainbows our oil bearing
\nBounty
\nThe Tarkines
\nAround them diversification
\nAnd now in the dead of night
\nWhat do we see
\na truck a man locked down
\nHis courage dramatic
\nThe cops and the robbers
\nAround him they be<\/p>\n
Unaware of the fight
\nOf the spirit of caring
\nThe love of a wilderness
\nLeft to our care
\nBeing torn up and broken
\nA sightlessness coming
\nTrue tunnel vision
\nThe only token
\nGiven to people
\nBlind to the coming
\nThe vanishing landscape
\nSo many hearts drumming
\nThe dissipation
\nAnd ,true creation
\nTears every which way
\nHeartaches as well<\/p>\n
Mental inertia
\nSo much inanity
\nBeing indifferent
\nWhere is the sanity
\nEarnestness wakens
\nAttentive and hearing
\nSo many sleeping
\nHardly endearing<\/p>\n
All the false reasoning
\nMining and logging
\nQuibble and mystify
\nThe wholesale flogging
\nArgue in a circle
\nThe judgement of job
\nWe are losing our forests
\nAll over This globe<\/p>\n
So much sloppy thinking
\nAnd nobody linking
\nThe loss of the forests
\nTo the climate and more
\nThe preconceptions
\nAnd utter fixations
\nThe loss of creations
\nWe tend to ignore<\/p>\n
The brave and all seeing
\nWarriors fighting
\nTaking on Mining and Logging
\nThey know
\nThey give up their backs
\nAnd their time and each moment
\nTo rise in their being
