\nOf throwing up these new estates
\nLook around today
\nForest fields and wildness
\nSacrificed it seems
\nFor the developers to develop
\nAnd guarantee their dreams
\nOf yachts and mansions far away
\nWhilst here in England we
\nSee greenbelts exploding
\nIn a depressing soulless sea
\nOf the same old bricks
\nThe same old tiles
\nSeconds if you will
\nLandscaping all much the same
\nCloser and closer still
\nThese rumbling states of mindlessness
\nThe tenancy will drive
\nPeople mad the closeness
\nJust Trying to survive

\nTear up the English Countryside

At this rate all our country walks
\nThe hills the dales the streams
\nThey will all be covered over
\nFor the unvaccinated, dreams
\nOf yesteryear before the fear
\nWas injected everywhere
\nThe masks the social distancing
\nAnd the, total despair
\nAnd passports to shop
\nAnd if we are lucky, to eat
