Fighting for Africa\u2019s animals
\nWriting and posting each day
\nAnd seeing canned hunting
\nMurdering Lions
\nAnd African farmers
\nWho prey
\nOn
\nMistaken and so naive hunters
\nAbsorbing deceit everyday
\nThey Travel and murder the caged ones
\nlions, duped and drugged
\nTo the eyeballs
\nSadly It happens today<\/p>\n
South Africa is unable to resolve it
\nOne time fruit growers, now they
\nMoved into harvesting Lions
\nFor the hunters
\nCanned Hunting was brought into play
\nWith evil intentions
\nPetting farms grow
\nIgnorant volunteers
\nTheir numbers show
\nThe little cubs
\nWhat can they do
\nTaken from their mothers
\nRejected all through
\nTransferred to cages
\nAnd there they will sit
\nAn awful existence
\nHow man dares fit
\nInto a small space
\nIts clearly unfair
\nBut its money and profits
\nAnd hoping to share<\/p>\n
Then selling the service
\nOf hunts guaranteed
\nNo stalking no walking
\nIts at break neck speed
\nA lion just a victim
\nPicked and placed where
\nThe hunter is brought
\nAnd the killing they share<\/p>\n
The bones go to Vietnam
\nIts criminal too
\nTiger cake sells
\nFor a lot
\nWhat they do
\nIs process the Lion Bones
\nWith turtle shell
\nAnd monkey, no tiger
\nBut it seems to sell well<\/p>\n
Its terrible karma
\nAnd Africa gets
\nA bad reputation
\nIt really sets
\nThe drama in motion
\nIts terribly cruel
\nBut the trade has been growing
\nBreaking every rule<\/p>\n
Lions fed on chicken
\nAnd whatever they get
\nIs nutrition and really it does not let
\nTheir bones and their bodies
\nDevelop that well
\nThey are weak they are lost souls
\nLiving in Hell<\/p>\n
The AWF
\nIts so good to hear
\nOut of Nairobi
\nWhere it is clear
\nThe puzzle of ever increasing
\nLand need
\nFor the people and for animals
\nFor this to succeed
\nIt needs the experience
\nAnd to beware
\nOf the corporate land grabs
\nWhich really arn\u2019t rare<\/p>\n
Of Africa\u2019s minerals
\nprofits to steal
\nNot many prophets
\nAnd a great deal of zeal
\nThe Big five are out there
\nAttracting us all
\nAll the wild park lands
\nWe do hear them call
\nWildness is special
\nHaving the gift
\nOf their enormous wealth
\nIt must feel like a lift<\/p>\n
So attained, was a godsend
\nAnd its easy to see
\nHow growth and how business
\nIs in conflict as we
\nGrow richer and needy
\nFor housing and land
\nFor more agriculture
\nTo just understand
\nThe astronomical puzzles
\nAround
\nAfrica whose future
\nI do think its sound<\/p>\n
But the animals matter
\nThey need love and care
\nAnd thats why the people
\nAre fighting and share
\nAnd thankfully
\nKaddu Sebunya is there
\nMarking the crossroads
\nAnd being aware
\nOf the future
\nExplosion of people
\nAnd he
\nIs making s difference
\nThat much we can see.<\/p>\n
