I have no idea what happened
\nAt the North East German farm
\n50O00 baby piglets
\nAnd their mothers came to harm
\n5000 worn out tired and slumbering
\nTheir brethren numbering ten
\nPerished in a major fire
\nOn Tuesday that was when
\nThey didn\u2019t stand and earthly chance
\nThe ventilator shafts
\nWhere there is air
\nFire burns like hell
\nAs we are all aware<\/p>\n

Whatever people think about
\nPigs are clever, they
\nHave their wits about them
\nSo facing the dismay
\nOf all losing their babies
\nThe terror in their hearts
\nAll those frightened piglets
\nReally fits and starts<\/p>\n

The rigidty and discipline
\nApparently was poor
\nOnly 1300 survived
\nI am not sure
\nwhether sows or piglets
\nAll I can surely say
\nIs all those mothers with their
\nChildren who couldn\u2019t get away<\/p>\n

All dying together
\nScreams that filled the hour
\nBorn to burn
\nno creature needs
\nThis end to be
\nfor where it leads
\nTo Heaven one hopes
\nwhere angels be
\nRather than the slaughterhouse
\nAlso painfully<\/p>\n

Dispatched their lives
\nso very cheap
\nThey are beautiful beings
\nAnd they would weep
\nThe fear the flames
\nthe smoke and death
\nImagine it
\nfighting for breath
\nWatching your mother burning
\nIt is beyond us
\nthey
\nI am sure our hearts go out to them
\nFor really its no way<\/p>\n

To die as for the farm and why it happened
\nWe must wait
\nTo me it doesn\u2019t feel right
\nInvestigations
\ngreat
\nLets hope they find the reason
\nFor no soul deserves this fate<\/p>\n

I can hear them crying
\nThe terror of it all
\nBlubbering and whimpering
\nCrowding against the wall
\nBegging to be rescued
\nThe uneasiness and disquiet
\nIts really hard to write this
\nBecause its just not right.<\/p>\n
