\nIs poor that much we know
\nTrading with expedience
\nMaintaining a good flow

\nToo many ships and too many animals

A sullenness and a hatred
\nThere is a wrongness here
\nThey suffer as would humans
\nWe must understand their fear<\/p>\n
Its totally wrong headed
\nAnd we misjudge it all
\nSailing on a ocean ship
\nReally does appal<\/p>\n
The senses stuck down
\nIn a hold
\nRolling with the waves
\nAnd delays they can be lengthy
\nDeprivation never saves<\/p>\n
Any soul whose suffering
\nThe anguish and the pain
\nLive exporting of animals
\nReally its insane<\/p>\n
In this day and age
\nAn empathy for our animals
\nIs good
\nYour shepherds in the countryside
\nHave done everything they could <\/p>\n
Slept with the Sheep to keep them warm
\nThe comfort that they seek
\nAnd then we ship them far away
\nOn a voyage that can feel bleak<\/p>\n
Its negligence and disrespect
\nIts incompetence as well
\nEach animals has value
\nIts a living soul we sell<\/p>\n
To ignore one\u2019s obligations
\nTo mismanage as ships do
\nIs to violate their being
\nAnd denigrate them to<\/p>\n
What has happened very recently
\nIn the Suez Canal
\nWith the Evergreen Container Ship
\nBlocking passage <\/p>\n
Shall
\nwe ever live it down
\nIn fact
\nThe animals on board,
\nsuffering
\nThe heat the pain
\nIn those holds tightly packed<\/p>\n
Its terribly uncomfortable
\nThe shock value as well
\nUnder the weight of others
\nTheir journey feels like Hell<\/p>\n
And we have made that possible
\nBecause we failed to care
\nBecause we took for granted
\nThey would all get where<\/p>\n
They were manifested to get
\nDespite it all
\nThe cruelty excessive
\nAnd Sir

Look into their eyes one day
