A three legged cat
\nIntroduced himself
\nTo a Man called Boyd
\nWho cared
\nHe named him \u201cBubby\u201d
\nAnd fed him
\nAnd inside was overjoyed
\nBut \u201cBubby\u201d had his own ideas
\nAnd always left when he
\nWas ready, obviously preferred the outside
\nAnd really being free<\/p>\n
Boyd was one kind gentleman
\nWho wanted him to stay
\nAnd fed him anytime he came
\nTo pass the time of day
\n\u201cbubby\u201d appeared comfortable
\nBut left because he could
\nNo matter how bad the weather was
\nAt the right time he just would<\/p>\n
Then 2017 Boyd he sadly died
\nBut told his friends and neighbours
\nPossibly \u201cBubby\u201d relied
\nA kind of convivial stop over
\nOn his journeys where
\nBut after Boyd died he never came
\nThough food was left but he
\nNever came and so never touched the food
\nExtraordinarily<\/p>\n
Then the house was up for sale
\nAnd a lady who didn\u2019t care
\nFor cats at all but a chap called Ray
\nConvinced her perhaps to share
\nA bowl of food if he came by
\nHaving told her the tale
\nAnd on the ninth year
\nHe returned and the lady
\nDudnt fail
\nHe was in the kitchen
\nAnd she then called Ray<\/p>\n
\u201cBubby\u201d looked the worse for wear
\nOld and very lean
\nHis big green eyes were weaker
\nHe was ready at the scene
\nWas Not to go away again
\nAnd he now has a lovely hearth
\nAnd a fireside in which to lay
\nAnd follow his forever path<\/p>\n
He purrs when he goes to sleep
\nAnd when he wakes up too
\nClearly he is happy
\nBut his freedom he loved too
\nBut now in peace and tranquility
\nIts what he wants to do
\nHe has had his years of excitement
\nOn his travels it was true
\nVisiting his stopovers
\nWith those who showed they care
\nBut now his body aching
\nHe was so aware
\nA carefree laid back life was more
\nThe life he wanted now
\nHe found his own euphoria
\nAnd we all know now how<\/p>\n
It feel to be loved and cared for
\nWhen we are growing old
\nBut still have most of our faculties
\nAnd on a place are sold
\nWhat a happy story
\nFor our three legged friend
\nThe adventurer the crusader
