There was a time
\nWhen this poor soul
\nwas loved
\nBy someone,
\nthey took him home
\nand looked after him
\nThat was until
\nThey left him
\nIn the street to roam
\nUnder the hot sun
\nHis bid
\nTo find somewhere
\nTo find someone
\nIn the Western Cape
\nIt can really burn
\nAnd outside the violence
\nIt can turn<\/p>\n
He was all burnt up
\nEyes caked as well
\nHeaven on earth
\nWas now his Hell
\nThe iniquitous people
\nJust left him be
\nBurnt up and diseased
\nSuch flagrancy<\/p>\n
Humans are sinful
\nIn many ways
\nGraceless worthy of
\nNo praise
\nThis poor hound
\nWas sick and he
\nHad been left
\nSo scandalously<\/p>\n
He crawled into a box
\nNot much shade
\nBurned to a cinder
\nIn it he laid
\nGasping for breath
\nHoping that he
\nMight just drift off
\nThe uncertainty<\/p>\n
Fallen angels
\nFound him there
\nJust One look they saw his despair
\nClearly unfed and watered too
\nHis integrity though
\nShining through
\nWheres this justice in this world
\nThis young fellow
\nHad been hurled
\nOut of a car into the street
\nNo water no food
\nIn all this heat<\/p>\n
Wrongheadedness clearly a curse
\nCriminality nothing worse
\nAt the vet he remained calm
\nClearly had been in so much harm
\nBut now soft hands and sweet shampoo
\nWere smothering him
\nHelping him through<\/p>\n
He just felt thought about
\nAnd Had found some light
\nAnd a place to stay the night
\nOut of the sun out of the street
\nWith calming voices
\nAnd food to eat
\nBeing loved just has to be
\nThe best thing in the world
\nAnd he
\nFound fallen angels
\nAnd his gratitude
\nHis love for them
\nIt did exude
\nOut of every pore
\nHis thankfulness
\nHis love for life
\nHe did confess<\/p>\n
Bless the fallen angels
\nThey turned his life around
\nThey painted a new picture
