\nIts hard work and the prices paid
\nBy our Multi National Buyers
\nSeemingly
\nMake unfair trade
\nThe reality accordingly
\nMargins seemingly
\nAre weighted against the growers
\nWhich is why slavery<\/p>\n
And why growers are
\nDisrespected seen as poor
\nTheir actual costs
\nBuyers ignore
\nThey are treated with disdain
\nUtter contempt
\nSo much pain
\nWhilst the chocolate wallers
\nBasically steal
\nThey humiliate
\nAnd then conceal<\/p>\n
Their irreverence
\nTheir market share
\nTheir disparagement
\nOf the growers where
\nHard work graft and slavery
\nIs the only reward
\nThey see<\/p>\n
And this power struggle
\nHas led to seeing
\nChildren working
\nAnd to being
\nMost unfair
\nThe buyers earn
\nWhilst the growers
\nThey just burn<\/p>\n
Poor as church mice
\nEveryone
\nSlaving under a hot sun
\nInexcusability
\nUnfitting and vulgar
\nIts feels to me
\nThere is no money in the pot
\nTo pay adults
\nThey havent got
\nSufficient even to clothe and feed
\nOn every level its wrong indeed<\/p>\n
Poverty is everywhere
\nIts a crying shame
\nBuyers are aware
\nBut it money they are after, they
\nWant big margins
\nAnd will not pay<\/p>\n
A fairer price
\nSo slavery
\nOn a huge scale is what we see
\nHeavy work and dangerous too
\nPesticides
\nBad stuff its true
\nIts so unjust
\nAnd very wrong
\nAppreciativeness
\nDoes not belong<\/p>\n
Its criminal
\nWhat we now see
\nWhats happening to humanity
\nWrongdoers there are
\nPlenty there
\nZero tolerance
\nAnd despair<\/p>\n
Can I forgive these bastards who
\nTake liberties
\nFor thats what they do
\nSee poor children work all day
\nWhere there is danger
\nAnd for no pay
\nGrudgingly unmindful they
\nRich corporations walk away<\/p>\n
Undeflected about what they do
\nWheres the justice
\nIts overdue
\nIts a crying shame
\nThat children here
\nAre given chocolate
\nBut fail to hear<\/p>\n
Children in Ghana
\nAnd the Ivory Coast
\nMany die or give up the ghost
\nSpraying chemicals everywhere
\nAnd working in the filthy air
\nUnfair grade is everywhere
\nOur wealth their stealth
\nNothings fair<\/p>\n
Overpayments
\nCannot be right
\nArrogation
\nIts a blight
\nOur bounden duty
\nTossed away
\nNo code of honour
\nOn any day<\/p>\n
Wilful neglect
\nAnd disrespect
\nSwinging the lead
\nWhy we elect
\nTo under value
\nTo not detect
\nHow much cheating
\nIs going on
\nIts larceny
\nOne great big con<\/p>\n
Opportunism
\nInsincerity
\nNot paying our way
\nComplicitly
\nEgoists everywhere
\nCovetous clowns
\nIts really sinful
\nThe ups and the downs<\/p>\n
Our kids are obese
\nThe chocolatiers too
\nBloody great profits
\nThe tax man rich, who
\nAre we in the West imagining we
\nHave the right to exploit
\nChildren so terribly<\/p>\n
Africas\u2019s reeling
\nLife there severe
\nThe chocolate industry
\nIt does appear
\nSees massive slavery
\nFamilies all poor
\nFor we in the WEST
