\nThe best to the worst
\nUpright and honour
\nTo just feeling cursed
\nChildren and chocolate
\nWhat do we see
\nBig names with secrets
\nThat should never be<\/p>\n
In the Ivory Coast
\nAnd Ghana we know
\nChildren are working
\nWhere cacao beans grow
\nIts dangerous work
\nAnd they do not get paid
\nIts out and out slavery
\nA disgraceful parade<\/p>\n
Of suspicion and artfulness
\nIgnoble shame
\nChildren its damn hot
\nAnd never a game
\nThese big corporations
\nOpportunists they be
\nUnethical trading
\nGoes on constantly<\/p>\n
Where are their morals
\nThey so lack honesty
\nIts really a racket
\nAnd they fail miserably
\nThey swindle and cheat
\nMaking profits galore
\nBlood sweat and tears
\nDo you want to hear more<\/p>\n
Every excuse in the book
\nWhen we ask
\nTheir unfallen state
\nIn the sunshine they bask
\nHands torn to shreds
\nMosquitos and more
\nExhaustion its heavy work
\nFor chocolate thats raw<\/p>\n
And so many super stores
\nDon\u2019t even check
\nThey sell all the big brands
\nIts all hands on deck
\nScratching each others backs
\nThats what they do
\nPollution and toxics
\nAnd habitats too<\/p>\n
Suffering badly
\nRefined Palm oil
\nSlavery sugar
\nIt makes my blood boil
\nAnimal testing
\nAnd human rights
\nWorkers they suffer
\nTax conduct, to heights<\/p>\n
Getting away with stuff
\nThats what they do
\nBut its children at work
\nIn great danger its true
\nTaking advantage
\nOf innocence we
\nKeep their coffers expanding
\nThe ones we cant see<\/p>\n
Supply chains are rotten
\nTheir politics stink
\nEnvironmental reporting
\nOh yes theres a link
\nArms and technology
\nFactory farming
\nThe chocolate you are eating
\nIt is self harming<\/p>\n
The Ethical Consumer
\nRate cadbury
\nWith a naught out of 18.5
\nWe can see
\nPacari is tops
\nPlamil 17
\nDivine 12.5
\nAnd far from Green
\nGreen and Blacks
\nRates a 2
\nMars gets a 1
\nKit Kat a half
\nAll this under the sun<\/p>\n
Each time you buy
\nChocolate what you must do
\nIs think of child slavery
\nAnd it is true
\nAll those loose morals
\nThat slippery slope
\nWhat is unvirtuous
\nJust how they cope<\/p>\n
Those poor little kids
\nSweating in the sun
\nMany in danger
\nThey have no fun
\nNo gadgets to work with
\nJust slaving away
\nWith cacao and mosquito\u2019s
\nAnd sadness at play<\/p>\n
A lack of integrity
\nNo justice there
\nOutrage and resentment
\nAnd heaps of despair
\nWe should boycott
\nThe chocolate
\nGrowing under the sun
\nWith so much impropriety
\nWhen alls said and done<\/p>\n
They are wrongdoing sinners
\nTheir heartlessness shows
\nThey don\u2019t give a damn
\nAbout all of my prose
\nAll of the children
\nThey fail to pay
\nOr look after or feed
\nAt the end of the day
\nThey are making big salaries
\nDriving big cars
\nIn their own right
\nThey believe they are stars<\/p>\n
But reality shows me
\nTheir hostility
\nThey don\u2019t care tuppence
\nJust no charity
\nThey are haughty and lofty
\nToffee nosed snobs
\nPuffed up and inflated
\nNo better than yobs<\/p>\n
As for the children
\nThey suffer each day
\nThey are losing their childhood
\nFor them theres no way
\nForward just fear
\nJust terror and dread
\nHatred and prejudice
