Out of the mouth’s of babes
\ncomes innocence and joy
\nbut sadly thanks to some
\nparents ideas
\nsome now employ
\nthe strategy that children
\nshould now be taught the ways
\nof trapping,and hunting and killing
\nand prove now how it pays<\/p>\n
we get rid of the vermin
\nthat chews our plants and, we
\npack stuff in our freezer
\nand all of it is free
\nno plastic trays to toss away
\nthe bones are cooked as well
\nhunting is so worthwhile
\nand the fur too we can sell<\/p>\n
that’s one way, of teaching
\nthe children, I suppose “all things wise and wonderful”
\nand all that piffling prose
\nis senseless when the innocent
\ncan’t see the wrong that’s done
\nwhen parents take them hunting
\nand they learn to fire a gun<\/p>\n
to me its reprehensible
\nto plants seeds of this kind
\nand see them plump to kill wild souls
\ninstead of leave behind
\na perfect little earthling
\nas precious as can be
\ntake a photo, by all means
\nbut let the others see
\nwhat miracles these earthlings are
\nwolves, coyotes, bears
\nany soul a foraging
\non god’s earth, in our prayers
\nwe share the bounty never kill
\nnever take a life
\nthat is where their value is
