Zoo\u2019s are past their sell by date
\nCruelty and pain
\nMiserly and ungenerous
\nThey are into it for gain
\nTight fisted and grudging
\nThey don\u2019t see how they gain
\nBy spending loads of money
\nOn cages when its plain<\/p>\n
the poor bear is suffering
\nWhich is their apparent plan
\nIgnorant and penny pinching
\nSince it all began
\nA Syrian bear in Karachi
\nIs not a good idea
\nIts far too hot
\nIts was far too young
\nSo its clearly most unfair
\nAnimals have feelings
\nAnd clearly suffer too
\nBut the tragedy out of all this
\nIs the bear is in a zoo<\/p>\n
Stuck there on the concrete
\nWhere it is very hot
\nIt hasnt got suffIcient water
\nBasically its got
\nA tiny cage its miserable
\nAnd, becoming distraught
\nWhat it needs is love for goodness sake
\nAs such has sought
\nHelp for it feels troubled
\nHarassed with its lot
\nThe zoo says all is perfect
\nWe know that it is rot<\/p>\n
Pakistan is falling foul
\nOf the rules on cruelty
\nFor clearly the bear is suffering
\nWhat is a calamity
\nIt should be moved and quickly
\nBut legally they say
\nThe bear is fine she\u2019s acclimatised
\nAnd is better by tHe day<\/p>\n
But people who know how zoos work
\nRealise unless
\nThey can get Ranoo away from there
\nThere is no end to her stress.
\nPetition after petition
\nOn social media too
\nThe problem which is serious
\nIs ofcourse a zoo<\/p>\n
Live animals become the stock
\nAnd profit needs to be
\nMade or they start cutting corners
\nWhich is what some see
\nA syrian bear loves coldness
\nAnd Karachi\u2019s weathers hot
\nA bear with a thick coat
\nWill find living there is not<\/p>\n
Anything but hideous
\nAnd some folk understand
\nThey are using time and trouble
\nGiving the case a hand
\nBut the zoo is fighting back on this
\nIts not prepared they say
\nTo move the poor bear into bigger premises
\nRight away<\/p>\n
And so the bear laments
\nAnd is in a shocking state
\nClearly its uncomfortable
\nAnd is getting worse of late
\nHopefully the legal stuff
\nIs now underway
\nAnd the poor bear can get moved
\nTo somewhere better
\nIf more pay<\/p>\n
