Godly creatures
\nSo designed
\nWebbed feet
\nThey always were aligned
\nto water all of
\nThat we know
\nBut not the farmers
\nOf foie gras NO<\/p>\n
Souls are kept
\nIn cages standing
\nHardly adept upright each day
\nAnd force fed fat
\nAnd balls of corn
\nThrust down their throats
\nIn a pipe this way<\/p>\n
Called gavage
\nAn awful way
\nDucks are susceptible and suffer they
\nFeel their livers are growing fast
\nGetting fatter
\nAnd with each blast
\nOf fat and corn shoved manually
\nIt all grows exponentially<\/p>\n
Causing sickness
\nAnd an aching gut
\nThe sorest throat
\nWanting to shut
\nOnes mouth To just
\nget on a pond
\nAnd with the willows
\nagain bond.
\nThe liver swells
\nAt least ten times
\nThe size god gave
\nFor it sells<\/p>\n
This diseased liver
\nThe French admire
\nThey eat it often
\nThen retire
\nTo sleep it off
\nTo realise
\nFoie gras
\nIs eaten by the unwise<\/p>\n
Internal violence
\nVile ferment
\nA sad stramash
\nAdversely sent
\nCloying acidic really bad
\nUnhealthy karmically
\nYour mad<\/p>\n
These poor ducks
\nReally suffer so
\nIts obnoxiousness
\nNow then you know
\nPersecution its pathetic
\nAnd no one around
\nIs sympathetic<\/p>\n
Their suffering its every day
\nNo let up spitefulness they say
\nScruffy manky foul and rank
\nSeeing them, my heart just sank
\nStanding upright making sounds
\nWeird and painful
\nWhich just drowns<\/p>\n
Out the good and vital where
\nThe evil eye is made to bear
\nThe mangled spoiled and imperfect way
\nThat poor ducks drift into dismay
\nLamentable deplorable
\nBurdensome and more
\nBloody throats and acbing souls
\nVictims in the foie gras war<\/p>\n
Who would want to eat
\nA diseased liver
\nFrom a glorious duck tortured each day
\nWhose delicate constitution
\nHas been ruined
\nBy an ulcerated gathering
\nAnd way
\nToo much fat stuffed into
\nA young ducks body
\nNauseous and queasy such a shame
\nReally should be laid up
\nAnd resting in the water
\nInstead the farmer really is to blame<\/p>\n
As ignorant as any farmer ever
\nUncaring in his irresponsible way
\nOut to make big profits from his torturing
\nIncompetent and feckless
\nSo to say
\nAs for the consumer
\nAway<\/p>\n
Off the scale of decency
\nA coward prepared to pay
\nFor a characterless confusion
\nTo disgrace ones self and play
\nInto the vile transgression
\nOf the brazen few
\nOn this earth to squander
