The Orangutan
\nAn ape of magnitude and awe
\nA swinger and a bringer
\nA jungle man of war
\nWho faces up to zoo keepers
\nThe lowest of the low
\nThe snarling rotten tight arsed
\nCreeps
\nWho just wishes he could go<\/p>\n
Far away from this damn place
\nThis so called rotten zoo
\nBelieving that our forest
\nWas not made for me or you
\nFrom the high trees
\nOf the tropics
\nAnd The Red Souls leap of fate
\nOnce took him to the pinnacle
\nWhere he would contemplate
\nThe miracles of climbing
\nOf eating jungle fair
\nNot being trapped by creepy trappers
\nPlucked out of the air<\/p>\n
And shipped off to some
\nConcrete cell
\nA stinking human place
\nNo food and no fresh water
\nJust the keepers ugly face
\nLeft alone to sweat and shiver
\nOn their rotten floor
\nBored out of our gracious minds
\nIn a cage we all abhor<\/p>\n
Frighteningly stinky
\nTrying to pass the time
\nThe cage completely empty
\nNo where for me to climb
\nNo friends to ever talk to
\nA really lonely place
\nAnd the only joy presented
\nThe keepers ugly face<\/p>\n
And all this because of palm oil
\nAnd logging day and night
\nOrangutans and others
\nHave to move away
\nIt just ain\u2019t
\nright
\nWild souls of the forest
\nWe have rights, nothings new
\nHabitat loss is crazy
\nAs is living in this zoo<\/p>\n
Oneness really gets to me
\nSuch solitude and pain
\nI feel just like a singleton
\nAlone with my disdain
\nDeserted and abandoned
\nA forsaken solitary
\nOn my own
\nAll by myself
\nUnaccompanied tragically<\/p>\n
As days pass
\nMore introverted
\nAnd standoffishness for me
\nSo totally out of character
\nThose who knew me would agree
\nBecoming cold and so aloof
\nWithdrawn and hidden I
\nCouldnt hear the other souls
\nAnd I so missed the blue sky<\/p>\n
Confined in utter purdah
\nGawped at every day
\nAs if I was in exile
\nDeported so to say
\nBanished to this prison
\nAs if some old recluse
\nA castaway a hermit
\nSuffering the abuse<\/p>\n
Of the ugly wrinkled keeper
\nAnd the dreg stench of his breath
\nAlways trying to cuddle me
\nIt really is the death
\nI have become unwelcoming
\nImpersonal and withdrawn
\nTotally out of character
\nOf the time when I was born<\/p>\n
A solitary as shy as hell
\nMisanthropic too
\nIf they could have only left me
\nIn the jungle
\nWhat I could do
\nFar far from the madding crowd
\nIn the forest green
\nLots of camaraderie
\nAnd be a degree more lean.<\/p>\n
Doing what god meant for me
\nEating the jungle fair
\nArborial the reddest ape
\nReally anywhere
\nThe intimacy of being
\nDevoted to a place
\nWhere god in all his wisdom
\nHad meant to see my face<\/p>\n
Bewitched by the great jungle
\nClimbing every day
\nNesting in the canopy
\nIt is for us the way
\nNow such vile abhorrence
\nA rotten stinking zoo
\nHumans pretending to be apes
\nEvery single day they hoo hoo hoo
\nHa ha ha
\nJumping, up and down
\nThis is what we are forced to watch
\nEvery loathsome clown
\nImpersonating who they feel
\nTheir blue print so to say
\nWe have to put up with all of this
