The illusion and the sophistry
\nOf watching horses run
\nRacing them making them jump
\nFences in the sun
\nThe dupery and swindling
\nIts cruelty beyond
\nPeoples imagination
\nTaking advantage of the bond
\nAnimals have with human beings
\nOwners so to say
\nWho force them into racing
\nAnd with it the dismay<\/p>\n
Its all to do with money
\nTaking risks you see
\nIts all about intention
\nTo gamble purposefully
\nThe horse is made to exercise
\nTraining in the cold
\nAlways running when they are aching
\nEven when they are old<\/p>\n
Whipped when no ones looking
\nKicked thats done as well
\nGrief and woe and off you go
\nRiding into hell
\nThere is so much discomfort
\nCalamitous it be
\nAn all this on a bag of moldy oats
\nThey get for free<\/p>\n
And having to carry the jockey
\nFarting all the time
\nThey stink those bloody humans
\nIt really is a crime
\nChasing after others
\nAnd hunting in the rain
\nAll that mud and moaning
\nAnd they are all insane<\/p>\n
Chasing after foxes
\nAnd most of them are drunk
\nNot the foxes the bloody riders
\nNot one is a hunk
\nToo many chips and t bone steaks
\nAnd we are expected to
\nCarry them across the fields
\nAnd through farms, yea its true<\/p>\n
As for jockeys they are smaller
\nBut they are paid to win
\nWhips and kicks and swearing
\nAnd none of them are thin
\nThey stand up in the stirrups
\nAnd bruise us yes they do
\nRacing us is cruelty
\nIts shameful which is true<\/p>\n
Even your queen is at it
\nFor us adversity
\nNo matter what the weather
\nWe still, have to be
\nRunning and all that glyphosate
\nOn the food these days
\nIt does things to our ligaments
\nWeakens them in many ways<\/p>\n
If we fall we have had it
\nIts bang your dead, goodbye
\nWe are being murdered
\nThat really is no lie
\nIts all about insurance
\nWe get shipped off to France
\nOr end up in your steak and kidney
\nPeople take the chance<\/p>\n
Racing is a mugs game
\nThe biggest mug the horse
\nSuffering a brutal regimen
\nYes us they force
\nEvery inch out of us
