Man talks of humanity
\nas such what of profanity
\nit wells up in his being
\nwhen faced with pigs
\nfor he
\nI see factory farmers
\nmore as pig embalmers
\nwhat do they know of life
\nand living
\nof love and care
\nand of course giving<\/p>\n
a period for true gestation
\nwhen a sow relives creation
\nwhat she gets is tough and sad
\na terribly testing time
\nforcibly imprisoned
\nand made to face the grime
\nof eating, defecating
\nand sleeping in that place
\nwhich goes against the peccaries
\nwhole philosophy the disgrace<\/p>\n
that she would feel inside
\nher very being cannot be
\nimagined
\nand the bloody factory
\nis blase to it too
\nwhat would be a sense
\nof outrage honestly heartfelt
\nto now do what she must do
\nwallowing in mud is not
\na practice from the pen
\nits a cooling that pigs undertake
\nbecause of course its when
\nin hot conditions they need
\ncooling down and sweating they
\nhave not got the glands for it
\nso mud helps them to stay
\ncool,do we appreciate
\nhow clean a pig can be
\nfar from it factory farmers
\ntheir habits are filthy
\nimposing such a principle
\non ungulates they show
\nto any thinking person
\nthat they just don’t
\nwant to know<\/p>\n
and so the sow must
\nundergo confinement
\nat a time
\nwhen she is so uncomfortable
\nlying in her slime
\nand give birth to her
\nlitter and feel man’s
\nignorant trait
\nand she really cannot
\nfeel fulfilled
\nin such a tortured state<\/p>\n
gestation crates invented
\nby corrupt intelligence
\nupsetting and disturbing
\nmakes no honest sense
\nyes! its about money
\nhow many souls can be
\npacked into a given space
\nof sick adversity<\/p>\n
and yes lots more
\nbut profit, that money after all
\nnotwithstanding a pregnant mother
\nno one hears her call
\nand call she must
\nher desperation heartfelt
\nbut you see
\nwith supermarkets unbelievable power
\nit has to be<\/p>\n
margins squeezed inexorably
\nthe factory farming mob
\nare squeezed into a corner
\nwho then dare they rob
\nthe sad sick soul commodity
\nthe pig yes it’ll squeal
\nbut nobody will hear it
\nand it’ll be somebody’s meal<\/p>\n
and this is what is happening
\nwhen these vile crates are used
\nSows are being regularly
\nterribly abused
\nthey cry out but who hears them
\nnobody there cares
\nmargins are the answers
\nfeelings now who shares<\/p>\n
feelings not the bankers
\nnobody does care
\nthe public are now sold on price
\nthere’s bogofs everywhere
\nand so the poor sow suffers
\nand then her litter too
\nand its happening and happening
\nand really its down to you<\/p>\n
because we can together change it
