Her husband passed some 20

\nAnd she alone
\nDisciplines herself to
\nGet up early

\nDisposition she
\nHas to struggle on and on
\nFor her eternity<\/p>\n
She relates to Nature
\nIts all about respect
\nThere is no doubt she is suffering
\nHer old age it has checked
\nHer abilities to manage
\nHer philosophy
\nIs a pertinent reminder
\nOf how life has to be<\/p>\n
If she lived in the city
\nProbably by now
\nShe would have passed on
\nYears ago
\nIts the struggle
\nReally how
\nShe lives in her perspective
\nHer struggle is her way
\nShe identifies with freedom
\nAnd is willing to pay<\/p>\n
The price, her world of difference
\nThe adverseness she can feel
\nFor her a kind of antidote
\nA confrontation with whats real
\nCreativeness invention
\nIts with her everyday
\nShe knows she is up against it
\nWith the vastness of each day<\/p>\n
Her union with Nature
\nThe great lake at her door
\nHer animals and the love of them
\nThe climate outside, raw
\nThe sheerness and the oneness
\nThe true simplicity
\nThe whole damn symbiosis
\nAnd the assembly<\/p>\n
Her faith is in her being
\nNature is her church
\nShe feels that connection
\nShe has made her perch
\nAnd there displays her tenacity
\nAgainst the elements she
\nTakes on vilest winters
\nWith such integrity<\/p>\n
The entireness of her being
\nSo much harmony
\nShe is self sufficient
\nShe really has to be
\nShe can embrace the elements
\nHer authorship maintained
\nShe feels entirely harmonious
\nAnd with all of this has gained<\/p>\n
Some kind of perfection
\nA love of order she
\nManages her life quite well
\nEnjoys her liberty
\nShe owns her eccentricity
\nA hippie in her own way
\nShe is an old age traveller
\nBut it gets her through each day<\/p>\n
She feels the isolation
\nThe absoluteness grows
\nEach day is like a monologue
\nA path before her shows
\nLonesome and forsaken
\nWorm fodder in a way
\nPossibly eaten by her dogs
