The road to no where
\ntook us some where
\ninto fields of mud
\nand god knows what
\nand a lot of sweat
\nand not a little blood<\/p>\n
sentinels in black
\nwere on the right side
\ndeep ditches full of ooze
\nwere on the left
\nthe track led ever onwards
\nfull of wheels and ruts
\nevery single one of them
\nbereft<\/p>\n
of any semblance
\nreally of a surface
\nso reversing was impossible to do
\nthe wheels were sliding
\neverywhere was hazardous
\nno signal
\non the sat nav
\nwhat to do?<\/p>\n
everything seemed haywire
\nand all the while the
\nadrenaline
\nyou could sort of feel
\nwhich I have to say
\nnot with a little fright
\nand an inner fire was burning
\nand because of the conditions
\nlittle scope for turning<\/p>\n
but finally we made it
\ndespite the awful mud
\ndespite a lot of nervousness
\nand the raising of our blood
\nbut a bond clearly developed
\na linkage a rapport
\nthat took us to a level
\njust not felt before<\/p>\n
