Yule the fuel
\nOf thoughtfulness
\nOf compassion
\nAnd of endings
\nThe ancient Stone Henge
\nSecreted on the marvellous
\nSalisbury Plain
\nThere where druids
\nCome to feel their ancestral
\nSpirit rising
\nSadly the pandemic
\nPut the dampers on us again<\/p>\n
The Many robes ironed and perfect
\nWanting to meet the flock
\nReady just to swoon over
\nThe Sarsons, and to block
\nOut the recent house arrests
\nAnd tendencies we felt
\nAltogether awfully sad about
\nOf The cards we have been dealt<\/p>\n
Tiers for souvenirs
\nReal honest tears of long ago
\nWhen we joined a circle
\nAnd finished with our ho ho ho
\nThat coming together
\nAll of us who care
\nNot so much for one another
\nBut just being there
\nSoaking up the neolithic
\nThe ritual and the thought
\nDecoding ancient secrets
\nWith inspirations caught
\nUp in wild emotions

And so today for many of us
\nReady to join the throng

Some had booked their tickets
\nNo refunds after all
\nThey had been really coming
\nAnd then Johnson dropped his ball
\nTier four virtually locked down
\nUnable to thus come
\nIts nothing to do with who should be there
\nThats A druidic rule of thumb<\/p>\n
For Debby and Paul its been hard
\nFor all of us yes too
\nWe all have our own stories
\nWith compassion daring to
\nRaise itself across us all
\nAnd we should really share
\nThe love and druidic heartache
\nFor we wanted to be there<\/p>\n
To be told perhaps it wasnt meant
\nIs upsetting yes, for me
\nAfter lockdown and shielding
\nOur freedoms usurped you see
\nIt affects just everybody
\nAnd not to come today
\nAnd absorb the real vibration
\nHurts, I have to say<\/p>\n
My message to the lot of you
\nIs its good you enjoyed your meet
\nAnd soaked up all the joys around
\nThe protection and strength complete
\nOf course much understanding and knowledge we
\nAll proclaim
\nAnd the justice that we dream of
\nAnd the love of it, the flame
\nOf existences apparent
\nAnd the want of all we know
