\nAnd four in the back of a cart
\nTraipsing through Rome
\nOn a hot Summers Day
\nIt doesn\u2019t do much for the heart
\nLugging their arses all over
\nThe effort it takes
\nAnd for me
\nFed on this hay
\nSoaked in Round up
\nThe old legs and bones
\nThese days weigh
\nup and the traffic
\nThe fumes and the heat
\nA weakening factor we feel
\nWe still have to
\ngo to the parks
\nSays the mayor
\nWe say to her Madam get real<\/p>\n
but at least we are banned
\nFrom the cobbles, the streets
\nAnd yea the heat of the day
\nPulling and tugging
\nIts does your back in
\nThe treadmill of life
\nIt does pay
\nThe cabbies are moaning
\nLosing their living
\nWhilst we are all dying
\nTo be
\nOut in the fields Some nice fresh
\nGreen grass
\nAnd its good people have heard
\nOur plea<\/p>\n
Its really laborious doing it
\nAnd we get exhausted for sure
\nA sabbatical would be refreshing
\nSomedays we work more and more
\nWhen you flake out and crack up
\nAnd still fatties come
\nHaving polished off pasta and chips
\nI tell you its wonderful
\nTo hear the news
\nThey are reducing our trips<\/p>\n
We still shall be clip clopping
\nAround the parks
\nBut A change is as good as a rest
\nIts good they see sense
\nLife will be less tense
\nAnd I think that its all for the best
\nRome loses Carts but the peoples hearts
\nWill strengthen and pasta sales too
\nWill surely increase
\nAs we gain our release
\nAnd do really what horses do.<\/p>\n
Die and nobody comes to mourn us
\nAnd even if they do we won\u2019t know
\nThe sadness that grips the Bard every single day
