Wilderness God made
\nEach part of it, he
\nCreated the balance
\nThe plant and the tree
\nThe lakes and the deserts
\nAnd animals too
\nThe heavenly balance
\nAn whats coming through<\/p>\n
Habitats lost
\nThe great pioneers
\nThey brought in their farming
\nAnd, there were tears
\nAs wildness was tamed
\nAt the end of each day
\nPeople moved in
\nWith their homes and their land
\nTook out the wildness
\nWho dares understand<\/p>\n
The wolf and the Bear
\nAnd the native who gave
\nMuch to the prairies
\nAnd we wanted to save
\nSome aspects of harmony
\nThe closeness of those
\nWho lived and who died
\nAnd who tragically chose<\/p>\n
Plots tO raise cattle
\nBeef for their meat
\nMutton it mattered
\nThe grass at their feet
\nMoney and voters
\nAnd clearly some power
\nThe townsfolk the taxes
\nThat came with each hour<\/p>\n
They grew and the wildness
\nWas bordering on
\nEverything changed
\nThe countryside gone
\nValleys and hillocks
\nAnd rivers and lakes
\nThe forests the fields
\nFor all of our sakes<\/p>\n
The wilderness warriors
\nCarved out their place
\nGodly the characters
\nThat we all fAce
\nWe must look after
\nThe wolf and the Bear
\nThe Eagle the Hare
\nWe must all be aware<\/p>\n
Give credence to wildness
\nFor it does compete
\nFactory farming
\nAnd huge stacks of wheat
\nRanges and markets
\nAnd slaughter and pain
\nWe must not work in haste
